Truck Accident Injuries

Tragedy on Texas roads can lead to wrongful death claim

Fatal accidents occur all too often along the many roads that intersect the United States. Although the cause of many of these accidents can be quickly determined by law enforcement officials, there are other accidents that require further investigative tasks to be completed in order for a cause to be determined. This investigation into a fatal accident may be crucial in assisting a Texas family to determine whether they have the grounds to file a wrongful death claim on behalf of their lost loved one.

In a recent tragic accident, a man was killed when the car he was driving was struck by a tractor-trailer. According to law enforcement, they were called the scene of the accident around 8:30 a.m. Upon their arrival they came across the two vehicle accident, where it was found that the tractor-trailer and the car collided as the truck was exiting a private roadway.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as being a 41-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt in the accident. Police are continuing to investigate the accident and it is unclear at this time when their investigation will be concluded.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed by police. However, as their investigation continues, they may discover evidence that could lead them to taking further action. Regardless of what Texas law enforcement find, the family of the deceased man retains the right to commence a wrongful death claim if they determine that there is enough evidence to support their case. A successful litigation could lead to the family receiving much needed compensation for the loss of their loved one, which may be able to assist them in moving forward with their grieving process.
