Traumatic Texas car accident leaves 5 teens hospitalized

Being a teenager is the time where many things begin to come together and one begins to learn the responsibilities of being an adult. Things happen that allow life lessons to mold and shape a young person into their adulthood. A lesson about the responsibilities of operating a vehicle recently presented itself to a few local Texas teenagers in the form of a car accident.

Five high school students were recently involved in a single-vehicle accident that left all of them in the hospital with severe injuries. The accident happened at around 7 p.m. when the vehicle somehow went airborne after coming over a hill. The five girls were all inside the vehicle when the driver apparently lost control. The car reportedly flipped a minimum of five times before it came to rest.

Reports indicated that the vehicle came to a rest in a nearby baseball field. Fortunately, there were no reports of any bystanders suffering injury. However all five occupants of the car were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. They were all reported to be in either serious or critical condition.

Although the Texas crash may have been an accident, there may still be legal consequences for the driver. No reports of speed or alcohol have been made as of yet, but if it is found that the driver negligently caused the car accident, she may find herself facing possible criminal and/or civil charges. The parents of the other injured victims may choose to file claims against the driver and any separate owner of the vehicle she was operating in order to seek financial relief for the expenses and other damages that inevitably accompany these types of tragedies.
