Any Texas resident can tell you that the highways and roads of this state can be dangerous places. Although most drivers operate their vehicles with concern for their own safety, and that of their fellow drivers, the sad truth is that accidents can happen anywhere and at any time. Some of those accidents are caused by drivers that endanger others with their carelessness or errors behind the wheel.
If you or a loved one has been involved in a car accident caused by another driver, you may want to speak with an attorney. An attorney can provide advice and information regarding what options you have with regard to pursuing damages.
In a recent accident near Dallas, one man was killed following a collision that sent his vehicle flying off the roadway. A passenger in that vehicle was rushed to a Dallas area hospital in serious condition. The two occupants of the other vehicle suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear who may have been at fault in this accident. With that said, accidents like this one are an unfortunate part of driving on any road in Texas and sometimes they come as the result of negligence or a mistake on the part of one or more drivers.
While it can be difficult to focus on assigning blame in a time of tragedy and loss, it is important to remember that when a driver causes a serious accident like this one, that driver should be held responsible for any damages caused by his or her actions.
Whether it means filing a claim for medical expenses, lost wages, or even wrongful death, car accident lawsuits citing the error of another driver may result in the award of damages to the victims.
