Every day, car and truck accidents on TX-121, Colt Road, Custer Road, Dallas Parkway, and U.S. 75 result in serious injuries and even deaths. At Ted Lyon Law, our personal injury attorneys know the real suffering and financial hardship these car wrecks leave behind.
If your life was changed in an instant in a car crash, call our office at 877-Ted-Lyon (833-5966) to talk with an experienced Plano car accident lawyer. Car Accident Attorneys with a Proven Track Record
We’re not your typical personal injury law firm that settles every claim. We’re relentless fighters at the negotiating table and in the courtroom. With a 50-year track record of successful verdicts and settlements, our Plano lawyers handle a wide range of car accident cases involving:
- Trucks
- Buses
- Trains
- Semis, tractor trailers, and big rigs
- Commercial vehicles like taxis, vans, or delivery trucks
How Do We Thoroughly Investigate Car Accidents?
Our success is the result of solid preparation. We don’t just rely on police reports. Our Plano lawyers thoroughly investigate the car crash, the conditions, the drivers, and the extent of injuries so we are fully prepared should your case need to go to trial.
Sometimes our investigation turns up unexpected results, like defective car parts that can cause a crash or can worsen injuries, like faulty seatbelts or a missing or defective airbag, or impaired driving when one of the drivers is drunk driving or under the influence of drugs.
Sometimes we discover that the other driver had no car insurance. An estimated 20% of drivers in Texas are uninsured. In that case, we bring a personal injury claim against our client’s own insurance company and their own uninsured/under insured motorist policy. A thorough investigation puts us in the strongest position to negotiate for our clients’ full financial recovery.
We also work with families who have lost a loved one in a car crash. Compensation in wrongful death cases must cover the family’s immediate financial losses. Depending on the situation, the family may also be compensated for the loss of a lifetime of earning potential, for companionship, for parental guidance, and more.
Should You Accept a Settlement Offer?
If you have suffered serious injuries, chances are good that you will need ongoing medical treatment or follow-up care for some time to come. You may have lingering health problems. You may not be able to work in the job you had previously.
It’s extremely important that you receive a full and fair financial recovery. You have only one opportunity for financial recovery. It has to be done right. With serious injury cases, your settlement (or verdict) will need to cover:
- Current and future medical care
- Adaptations to your home or vehicle
- Lost wages while you are out of work
- Loss of future income if you can’t work or have to take a lower-paying job
- Pain and suffering
Before you consider any kind of settlement offer, talk with a Plano car crash attorney. We have handled many hundreds of car accident cases in our 50 years serving clients in the area. We have a good understanding of the value of a case. Put our experience to work for you.
