A Proven Track Record of Success in Truck Accident Cases
We’re not your typical personal injury law firm. Our Plano lawyers are disciplined, relentless fighters with a 50-year track record of successful verdicts and settlements in truck accident cases involving:
- Cargo falling off trucks
- Defective truck or car parts
- Negligent and reckless drivers
- Lack of or defective safety equipment
- Negligent hiring of unqualified drivers
- Drunk drivers and drug-impaired drivers
We prepare every case as if it will go to trial. That means we’re ready with the facts when it’s time to negotiate or take a case to court.
Truck Accidents on the Jobsite or When Driving for Work
If you were hurt on the jobsite, you may need to file a workers’ comp claim for your Plano truck accident, but every truck crash is different, and our lawyers can help you determine the best course of action. If the driver worked for a subcontractor or shipping company, not your employer, you may still be able to bring a personal injury claim.
Why would you want to do that? Because you may receive more financial compensation with a personal injury lawsuit.
What Makes Truck Accidents Different?
We recommend consulting with our attorneys because Plano trucking accident cases are more complex than your typical car accident for several reasons. These include:
- Injuries are often catastrophic: traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and paralysis, or loss of limbs from amputation or crush injuries
- There could be several responsible parties and insurance companies involved
- The trucker, trucking company, and insurer could be located in other states
- If the accident involved defective parts, a product liability lawsuit may be needed to achieve financial recovery
For these reasons and more, you want to work with a law firm that has experience and resources to handle complex cases.
What Should Your Settlement Cover?
We are laser-focused on ensuring you receive all of the compensation you are qualified to receive to pay for your medical needs and losses, especially if your medical needs will extend into the future. Your settlement or verdict should pay for:
- Current and future medical care
- Adaptations to your home or vehicle
- Lost wages from the time of the accident until you get back to work
- Loss of income if you can’t go back to your previous job because of your injuries
- Pain and suffering
We also work with families who have lost a loved one in a Plano truck wreck. Compensation in wrongful death cases must cover the family’s immediate financial losses as well as the loss of a lifetime earning potential, companionship, parental guidance, and more.
