Fatal car accident kills dad and 3 sons, injures mom and daughter

After celebrating a father’s graduation from a Texas Bible college, a family of six set off on their way home. The 17-year-old son drove their minivan. While traveling on Highway 315 in Carthage, the young driver slowed down to allow another vehicle to turn off the highway into the driveway of a private residence. This set off the events that led to a tragic fatal car accident.

It appears the driver of another car that was traveling behind the minivan failed to keep a proper lookout, and it rear-ended the family’s vehicle. The impact pushed the minivan into the path of an oncoming big rig. The impact of the collision that followed killed the 45-year-old pastor and his three sons, ages 17, 14 and 6.

The 41-year-old mother and their 11-year-old daughter were rushed to a hospital.  Apparently, the mother is out of danger. However, the daughter reportedly suffered severe facial injuries and may require reconstructive surgery. She is also said to be scheduled for pelvic surgery.

The trauma of this wife and mother who survived this tragic fatal car accident is unimaginable. During this difficult time, she will have to face the financial consequences of funeral and burial costs for her husband and three sons. Along with her and her daughter’s medical expenses, financial relief will likely be essential. She is entitled to pursue recovery of damages through the civil justice system in Texas, and she may retain the services of an experienced personal injury and wrongful death attorney to provide support and guidance throughout the legal proceedings.
